Ever thought about who you’d really dig some one on one conversation with? Just for kicks I came up with a list of my top 10. In no particular order:
Carol Burnett —– I’d love to pick her brain on comedy
Dalai Lama —– To share philosophies
Jane Austen —– Pick her brain on clever dialogue
Jerry Seinfeld —– He just cracks me up
Jim Morrison —– We’d get along smashingly
JK Rowling —— I’d have a small questionairre for her
Tori Amos —— I just love her wacked lyrics.
Rosa Parks —— I wanna know just how it felt
Stephen King —– DUH!
Hayden Christensen — Just for fun so he can practice his smoldering gaze on me.
Who would you like to have drinks with??
SPINOUT:
My friend and fellow writer did an interview with me on her blog. I talk a lot about my recent manuscript, Coffee & Donuts. Check it out here

Happy September, everyone!

I’d love to pick Stephen King and JK Rowling’s brains too. I want to know how the whole Harry Potter world came alive in her mind. Fascinating!
In no particular order:
Stephen King, not because I’m a big fan of his, but because I’d love to pick his brains on plotting
Lewis Carrol — I’ve always been a big fan of his
Robert A. Heinlein — again, I’m a fan and his stories are always SO readable …would love to pick his brains …
JRR Tolkien — thoughts on inventing a language and mythos
Tamora Pierce — am reading her now and loving the books — would love thoughts on inventing a history and culture
poet Stephen Dunn — his poems are deceptively straightforward — and he SO nails the ending to extend the meaning of the poem …
poet Rita Dove — love her poetry, would love to meet her …
Francois Villon — loved his poetry as a kid and he sounds like a really fascinating guy . not a typical poet at all
Victor Hugo — am only moderately fond of his fiction, but his poem “Les Djinns” is one of my all-time favorite poems …
Jesus — would really love to meet the man .. (and just in case you’re wondering, I was raised Jewish …)
J.D. Salinger once wrote that all the people he wanted to talk to where either dead or unavailable for lunch.
He was the one I wanted to talk to, or even just sit and listen to.
Interesting list, PK! If I could choose anyone at all, it would probably be people I already know. I’m weird, I know.
